Safeguarding
The acclaimed choir of St. Peter’s Church, Bexhill, has a very long-standing musical tradition, and as such has built up an extremely enviable reputation over many years. It is widely recognised as one of the finest church choirs in the south of England, and one of the few which still has a top line of children, both boys and girls. Space is limited, but we are always looking for enthusiastic and able children, young people and adults.
Juniors
Any children between the ages of seven and sixteen are welcome to join the choir without audition. Occasionally sopranos over the age of sixteen are permitted subject to audition.
Choral Scholars
There are a limited number of scholarships available to anyone, of any voice part either male or female, between the ages of fourteen and eighteen. These scholarships allow the recipient a termly sum of money and certain other benefits. These scholarships are subject to audition and are kept at the discretion of the Director of Music.
Adults
Men who sing counter-tenor, tenor and bass are welcome to join the choir. Usually this is subject to a short audition. The adults of the choir enjoy an active social life separate from the junior members of the choir as well as with the choir as a whole.
